Beverly: Expressive Arts Therapist/Counselor

Population: Special Education Ages 6-12
Overall Responsibilities: The Expressive Arts Therapist is a multi-faceted role encompassing individual therapy, group therapy and family communication. The Expressive Arts Therapist works with students who have social and emotional disabilities, low self-esteem, and general school difficulties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Individual therapy with students
* Development of individual therapy plans with students
* Group therapy leader, development of group therapy curriculum
* Family communication and treatment planning
* Writing and implementation of I.E.P.’s
* Participation in I.E.P. meetings
* Writing and updating student progress reports
* Assisting in student supervision during breaks
* Coordination and communication with the student’s outpatient treatment team members
* Art/Music/Drama Therapy group/classes
* Other Duties as directed by supervisor

Schedule: 11 month position (201 Days) Monday – Friday 7:45 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.

Qualifications: Masters degree; relevant experience, DESE Certification and/or State Licensure
